Running is a good way to improve your health & wellbeing. It will provide muscle toning and the perfect cardio exercise. If you are looking to improve your fitness, running can give you both physical and emotional health.  For me, running is a chance to get outside and meet cool people. Even running in the rain can be a fun experience. A good running shoe will prevent damage to knees, ankles, hips and joints. Resist the temptation to buy a certain brand or style just because you like the color. In general, the right size running shoe is a half to a full size larger than your everyday shoes. Your feet will expand when running, both short or long distances. I encourage you to try some different running shoes or even consider a trail running shoe. promise yourself to buy what fits your feet. Many stores provide gait analysis and proper shoe fitting specifically for your foot. Don’t forget the socks. It is worth the money to invest in a good quality moisture-wicking pair of socks. Believe it or not most will last a few years depending on how much you wear them.
